What to Expect at Your First Visit

Welcome to the Family

Starting with a new dentist can feel like a big step — we want your first visit to feel easy and unhurried, whether you're bringing yourself, your toddler, or the whole family.

What Happens at Your First Appointment

We'll start with a conversation about your dental history and any concerns, followed by a full exam, cleaning, and any needed X-rays. Dr. Loud will walk you through what he finds and answer every question before recommending next steps.

Bringing Your Child for Their First Visit

We make kids' first visits fun, low-pressure, and fear-free — no rushing, no scary language, just a gentle introduction to the dentist's chair. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age one or within six months of the first tooth.

What to Bring

Bring a photo ID, your insurance or Medicaid card if applicable, and a list of any medications you're taking. If you have records from a previous dentist, feel free to bring those too, though it's not required.
